TripAdvisor, an anonymous website is being horribly misused this summer by a few of our desperate competitors with vicious, false reviews.

Instead of investing to improve their own motels, a few competitors have decided it is cheaper to slander our properties rather than competing. The bad economy has brought out a new low in some people. In June of this summer, we listed on our website that Ireland’s was the only property in the city of Gold Beach or Brookings that was positively reviewed and recommended by the prestigious Frommer’s review service. A review service that actually comes out and stays at your property. We posted the truth, and since then the false attacks on TripAdvisor this summer against both of our side by side properties have been relentless, extremely vicious and have come like clockwork. Every time a customer writes a positive review it is immediately slammed with false attacking reviews.

Our properties have out financially grossed our competition over 2 to 1 the last 5 years. We dominate Gold Beach especially in the spring and winter season where almost all business is repeat from our core markets. During these seasons we out financially gross our competitors almost 3 to 1. We are the leader in repeat, loyal customers.

We dominate our competitors, and we don’t even advertise. We are the only oceanfront motel in Gold Beach that refuses to pay for advertising on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com, Orbitz, etc. We choose to put our money into the properties. We believe the best advertising is word of mouth. Our business is family run. We live in Gold Beach, and our three children along with 25 dedicated employees work tirelessly on the properties. We have extensive improvements going on at the properties all the time. This coming off season, we have a lot of improvements planned including a third huge oceanfront spa only to be used for guests 21 and older.

Our competitors are reduced to attacking us on the internet because they simply can not compete. Their false reviews always attack our breakfast because we have the two best breakfast bars in town. We serve Fresh Fruit, French Toast, Blueberry Waffles, Premium Thomas Bagels, English Muffins, Hot Fresh Hard-boiled Eggs, Oatmeal, Premium Orange Juice, Coffee and Tea. We also have Fresh Bottled Water always available throughout the entire day.

We have four beautiful private beach trails. None of our competitors have more than one. We have three huge WIFI antennas and four different WIFI signals complementary for our guests. None of our competitors have more than one signal. We have seven different free HBO movie stations. Our competitors have either one or none. We have huge famous flower gardens, massive unlogged trees, our own lighthouse, many decks and courtyards, a charming fountain, wood and gas burning fireplaces, complimentary barbeques, huge Oceanfront Spas viewing the ocean. We have houses, condos, cabins and oceanfront rooms. Almost all of our rooms also come with relaxing recliners because in most chain motels there is nowhere comfortable to sit and nothing to see.

We have left most of our land open and natural, so the guests can truly enjoy what a Southern Oregon Beach is truly like. Our properties are not for everyone. If you need the latest, most modern rooms with an action packed nightlife, then our motels are not right for you. But, if you are looking for reasonably priced ocean front properties with a wide selection of price points with massive ocean front grounds, pristine air, no traffic, a super safe town with friendly people and a beach with crashing waves that you can walk on for miles, then you will love our proprieties.

If you want an independent opinion on where to stay, go to the Gold Beach Chamber of Commerce and call any of the approximate 100 Gold Beach businesses. Over eighty percent will recommend Ireland’s and the Gold Beach Inn. The town is proud of our properties, and we do a lot to support the small town of Gold Beach.

Finally, remember we are the only oceanfront motels that do not advertise with TripAdvisor in Gold Beach. TripAdvisor is owned by Expedia.
