On my most recent trip to Gold Beach, I stayed in a king room on the top floor and it had the most wonderful view of the ocean. My husband and I enjoyed watching the storm surf, sunset, and the distant marine layer. Our room was clean and comfortable, although missing some items like enough drinking cups, towels, and the usual gratis shampoo and soaps. We managed for our one night stay. Just be prepared in this pandemic for limited cups and other small details. You can always ask the front desk to bring what you're missing. We were graciously allowed to check in early, however, our room temperature was 57 degrees and it took a few hours to reach 72. We were happy once the room was warm. Traveling in winter means low hotel rates and we were delighted with the low cost of our room,as well as the courtesy and friendliness of the manager. This is a terrific place to stay if you are on a budget but want to be on the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. Our dog loved her stay! The dog-friendly rooms are on open balconies, so there is always someone coming or going. Expect noise and privacy issues. You can see the ocean, but not the beach from your room. The path to the beach is great; the green spaces were our dog's idea of heaven. The price is right, breakfast is good, the beds are comfy. If you don't need luxury, this place is perfect.

We had a pet friendly room facing the beach. This is truly a case of don’t judge a book by its cover. The room was really nice and recently remodeled It had a small kitchenette that was very nice with a small fridge ,microwave ,and a 2 burner stove. The shelves were stocked with pans and dishes to be able to cook a small meal. The king size bed was very comfortable and clean. We had a flat screen tv and a small couch to cuddle on. The bathroom was a bit small and shower pressure was a bit weak, but it was very clean and the full size Lighted mirror over the sink was awesome. There is a path that leads down to the beach and ocean. All beach front rooms Appear to have a full beach or ocean view. We have stayed in brand name hotels that were not as nice as this one was. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will certainly do the same. Pricing was very reasonable even with the pet fees.
